Program Overview
The Small Business Accelerator (SBA) program is a 14-week program designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs grow their business ventures. We provide hands-on training, actionable resources, and a network of support to equip you with the skills you need to build and grow a successful business. The SBA program offers the tools and confidence to turn your vision into a thriving venture!
Is this program for you?
The SBA is for you if:
- You have made at least $1,000 in business
- You want to refine your foundation in business
- You’re seeking knowledge, resources, and a supportive community to help you succeed
- You’re committed to investing in your dream and are ready to take the next step
Topics Include:
For the first four weeks,
- Overcoming fears, developing a growth mindset, and making personal sacrifices
- Valuing social capital, intellectual capital, and financial capital
- Setting goals and creating a business, not a job
- Caring for your mental health and personal finances
Participants will have a better understanding of what it takes personally to be a business owner, identify their obstacles, begin to set goals, and create a system for a business.
Participants will understand the Business Model Canvas process and apply the principles to their business idea using research to explore each category. Participants will create a three-minute business pitch to present to their class, coaches, and guest judges.
In the following 10 weeks,
- Business model canvas learning process
- Market and customer research
- Financial business training
- Applying your learnings in the class
- Business pitch competition
Outcome: Participants will understand the Business Model Canvas process and apply the principles to their business idea using research to explore each category. Participants will create a three-minute business pitch to present to their class, coaches, and guest judges.
